Live-in care helps both you, as a client, and your family to thrive. Many families experience anxiety when their loved ones’ care feel uncertain, is unarranged or inadequate. With the trustworthy and reliable support of a Walfinch live-in carer, your family can be assured that you’re able to thrive – even when they’re away. If wanted, your family can receive updates on your wellbeing, manner and health, helping them focus on spending time with you, in the ways that truly matter.

We believe that you thrive best, where you’re most comfortable. Requiring ongoing care throughout the day doesn’t mean you need to move out of your home – we bring our expertise to you. Many clients feel having live-in support helps them stay independent and continue with activities, such as going to the shops or meeting friends, that may otherwise be more difficult to do alone.

Because, at Walfinch, we believe that your care should fit you, not the other way around.

If you have a particular interest, be it baking, walking, sewing, or something else entirely, we will select a live-in carer who, if not shares, truly understands your interests.

Live-in care can benefit your lifestyle in more ways than one.

Always feel heard

With live-in care, you always have someone to talk to. Late at night or early in the morning – our Walfinch carer understands your individual situation. They can support you throughout your journey, helping you navigate your health and wellbeing – such as attending appointments.

Share your interests

We carefully select your live-in carer to, if not share your interests, understand how you thrive. We’ve had the pleasure of providing live-in care for clients with interests in: art, fashion, literature, sports, nature and wildlife, and even dancing. The list is endless.

Personal care and support

Take the concern out of personal care by having a dedication professional supporting you, whatever the time. Worrying less about hygiene and presentation allows you more time to focus on the things you enjoy.

Peace of mind

Live-in care provides peace of mind for both you and your family. Know you are in good hands, with your dedicated and professional live-in carer – no more anxiety or stress. Just you, doing more of the things you love, in the places you love.

Help around the house

Your live-in carer can support you with domestic tasks, such as cooking and cleaning – helping you enjoy your home, without the challenge of doing it all yourself. We can also work with you to include better nutrition in your meals – because eating better means living better.

Help beyond the house

If you are someone who wants to get out the of house more often, we can absolutely accommodate that. We take many of our live-in care clients to Walfinch Thrive Clubs, the shops, cafés and brunch spots. Wherever you want to go, we ensure you can get there.

It’s never too early to kickstart your thriving journey. Use your care to take control back over your life and your health – and we can navigate these uncertain times together.

We don’t see care as the end – it’s just the next chapter. Through various techniques and approaches to care, tailored around your lifestyle and goals, you can make now your time to thrive.

Live-in care involves a specially chosen Walfinch carer moving into your home to provide flexible and ongoing support. This comes in the form of companionship and practical support with your day-to-day lifestyle.

Everyone’s needs evolve over time – and, at some point, live-in care may be better suited to you. If you feel unsteady on your feet, are becoming increasingly confused, struggle with medication management or find it difficult to carry out basic hygiene tasks, then live-in care could be your solution.

This decision is entirely up to you and depends on your personal preferences. We’ve found that most people would prefer to stay in their own home, with their care tailored to their lifestyle. Often, in residential care homes, they have a ‘one size fits all’ approach to care. By investing in live-in care, you can live how you want, where you want.

We’ve provided live-in care for couples, where one person’s needs are different to the other’s. Live-in care allows you to stay together in your own home, whilst also providing support tailored to your individual needs and goals. This can significantly lighten the emotional load on you, if you are currently having to care for your partner.

Live-in care is a great option for someone who wants to leave the hospital sooner and recuperate in the place they thrive best. With a dedicated Walfinch carer, you can recover and regain your independence away from the clinical hospital environment.

Absolutely! Our carers are trained to best support you in and beyond your home – helping you get more out of your days. We honour your nuanced routines, keeping your care as un-intrusive as possible. At Walfinch, we believe your care should fit you, not the other way around.

We train our carers in-house, the Walfinch way. They undergo comprehensive and specialist training so that they can care for people with a wide range of needs. We have very high standards regarding training – meaning our carers must pass a series of in-person examinations, training sessions and online learning before helping people in their own homes.
