Managing Director
Marcelo Navarro is passionate about providing high-quality care for the East Barnet community, drawing on over 20 years of management experience in the catering industry. His background has given him a strong foundation in leadership, service delivery, and people management – skills he now brings to the care sector.
Under Marcelo’s leadership, Walfinch East Barnet and its team of highly trained carers deliver compassionate, person-centred care tailored to a wide range of needs and conditions. Their focus is on supporting clients to remain independent and comfortable in their own homes.
Outside of work, Marcelo enjoys outdoor sports, cooking, and travelling, pursuits that reflect his energy, creativity, and love of community.
Sally Kamara
Registered Manager
Sally Kamara is the Registered Manager of Walfinch East Barnet, bringing more than 25 years of experience in health and social care. Beginning her career as a care worker, she progressed through roles including Care Coordinator before becoming a Registered Manager, a role she has held for the past nine years.
She has successfully led services ranging from live-in care across England to multi-branch organisations and independent providers, including supporting one service in improving its CQC rating from “Requires Improvement” to “Good.” Sally also has experience supporting young people in semi-independent living.
Alongside her extensive practical expertise, she holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership, and is completing her Level 7 qualification.

Care Manager
Anita Portwin has over 35 years of experience in health and social care, with a specialism in domiciliary care. She has progressed from Care Assistant to senior leadership roles, including Registered Manager and Operational Manager, gaining expertise in service delivery, compliance, and staff management.
Qualified in Health and Social Care Leadership, Anita is recognised for her professionalism, strong leadership, and commitment to person-centred care. With her extensive experience, she is a trusted and highly valued member of the Walfinch East Barnet team.
Samara Fraga
Care Co-ordinator
As Care Coordinator at Walfinch East Barnet, Samara Fraga plays a key role in managing daily operations. She oversees rotas, carefully matching clients with carers to ensure personalised support while promoting staff wellbeing through balanced schedules.
